- My name, for now anyway, is David Hosaflook.
- I am a sinner saved by grace, alive in the Spirit, and motivated by the love of Christ.
- I am husband to an amazing woman and fall in love with her again every morning.
- I am father to children who make me proud and fill my home with beautiful noise and my days with laughter -- who needs sitcoms when you have lifecoms?
- I am son to parents who encouraged me to be a missionary--and rare are such parents.
- I am spiritual son to a pastor and youth pastor who were very pushy about brainwashing me -- and that's a positive thing! The world fills our brains with crud and we need the washing of the water of the Word to cleanse our minds.
- I am a missionary, sent by God and my local church to preach the Gospel and plant churches.
- I have resided in the Balkans since 1992.
- I am nothing -- Christ must increase and I must decrease (John 3:30).
Why I Scribble
- I like to write because it helps me think.
- Publishing it on a blog helps me think more clearly--the fact that someone might read it keeps me accountable and disciplined.
- Over the years, many people have encouraged me to write more; if I can encourage and help people, that's an added perk!
- I am especially encouraged when I hear that something I have written has helped another missionary or potential missionary.
